Daniel Gorwood Green
Daniel Gorwood Green married Eleanor Constable in 1873. Their son, Thomas, was born in 1878 in Mornington.
Daniel was a Cabinet maker apprenticed to Benjamin Constable.
Eleanor and Daniel had eight children, and moved into "Clifton Villa" in 1883, after the death of her mother.
The family remained at "Clifton Villa" until about 1890, when Daniel built a new home for his family, at 14 Alfred Street.
Daniel also was a House decorator and builder in Mornington and together with his father in law, Benjamin Constable, built "Clyde Villa" on the Esplanade.
He was also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of many houses in the area.
Both Daniel and Benjamin Constable were elected to the first Board of Management of the Presbyterian Church in 1871.
Daniel died in 1904 aged 62 years and was much respected, as was testified by the large number of people who attended the funeral at Mornington Cemetery.
